Ujamaa Mobile Launches in Newark!

On September 6, 2022, Coalition Equity launched our third Ujamaa Mobile Fridge at North Jersey Community Research Initiative's Newark Pride Center. Ujamaa @NJCRI will advance The Pride Center's efforts to provide Newark's LGBTQ youth with holistic support services that now include fresh, healthy meal options that include nutrition resources. With Ujamaa, Pride Center clients now have free, de-surveilled access to healthy food options and the suite of wellness options offered at NJCRI. Community members can also enroll in CFHE's hunger project program for additional meal support if needed through their engagement at the refrigerator location.
